Drop Stop sheet stacker safety system

Designed to be fitted to corrugated sheet stackers, the Drop-Stop is an independent device, bolted to the machine frames, that prevents the bed of the stacker falling in the event of mechanical or electrical failure.

About us

 Two wire cable drums fitted with a unique internal braking system are installed to the machine at each side.  The steel cables are attached to the end of the conveyor bed.  As the bed raises and lowers the cables retract and extend automatically.

Services

 In the event of mechanicall failure to the stacker, I.E, chain breakage, brake, motor or keyway failure, the DROP-STOP operates to prevent the conveyor bed from crashing to the floor.  This prevents further damage to the machine, and most importantly, personel injury.

New machinery

• The conveyor bed can be lowered safely to the ground from the caught position.
• Installation is quick, typically around two hours per stacker.
• The DROP-STOP is a low cost sloution to a serious problem.
